FAQs

Are your caregivers insured and bonded?

Yes. All our LPNs, RNs, and physical and occupational therapists are licensed by the state of Nebraska, and all are required to have a valid driver’s license. All our certified nursing assistants must have a valid CNA license, and must have proven experience as an in-home caregiver.

Will I have a choice of who comes to my house?

Yes, and as added assurance of the safety and well-being of our clients, we perform a criminal background check and require all our staff to have the proper certifications and licenses for their particular roles and practices.

How can I verify a shift was completed?

We call it an EMR (electronic medical record). Everyone with access can log in to review the client’s care plan and see the schedule. Our system is a bit different from other agencies because all our in-home staff write a simple summary of what their shift looked like. Family members can log in and see that Mom went to the grocery store with her caregiver, came home and took a shower, and relaxed on the patio with some tea. It’s an easily accessible simplified summary of what happened during a shift.

Is there consistency among caregivers?

Yes. We know the importance of building familiarity and trust between our clients and caregivers. That’s why we strive to provide consistent care by assigning dedicated caregivers whenever possible. Yet, unforeseen circumstances like emergencies or caregiver illness sometimes occur. In such cases, our backup system ensures cohesive coverage without compromising the quality of care you or your loved one receives. The well-being of our clients is our top priority, and we’re committed to providing reliable support, even in unexpected situations.

Is your agency licensed by the state?

Yes. Physicians Choice Private Duty is licensed by the Department of Health and Human Services in the state of Nebraska.
